George Ilenikhena Transfer from Monaco to Roma

AS Roma has already made inquiries about George Ilenikhena. Ekrem Konur reports that his profile appeals to many European recruiters. Clubs are promising more responsibilities to Ilenikhena and are positioning for a potential transfer in 2026. Monaco is not in a hurry, as the player's contract runs until June 2029. No firm decision has been made yet, but a significant offer could influence the situation. George Ilenikhena is paid 690,000 euros per year.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, 19-year-old French-Nigerian striker George Ilenikhena is the main candidate for AS Roma as the club seeks to sign an extra striker in the winter. Roma's search is prompted by Artem Dovbyk potentially leaving in January and loanee Evan Ferguson not being entirely convincing. Ilenikhena, who plays for AS Monaco, is under contract until mid-2029 and is therefore considered an expensive option. The Italian sports newspaper notes that Myron Boadu is viewed as a cheaper alternative, while Leandro Trossard is another option for the Serie A club. The striker, whose market value is estimated by Transfermarkt at €15 million, has also attracted interest from clubs including VfB Stuttgart, Bayer Leverkusen, and Villarreal.
