On the final day of the winter transfer window, 19-year-old Nigerian-French forward George Ilenikhena is nearing a departure from AS Monaco after the club reached an agreement with Al Ittihad for his transfer for a fee of 33 million euros. The former Antwerp player, who was signed a year and a half ago for nearly 19 million euros, is now in negotiations with the Saudi club to finalize his contract details. In the current Ligue 1 season, Ilenikhena has made 2 appearances without scoring any goals, and his contract with Monaco was due to expire in June 2029. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €12.00m. In the summer of 2025, Monaco had rejected a bid from VfB Stuttgart that was reportedly worth €22 million plus €5 million in bonuses.
