According to Tuttomercato, the 28-year-old Italian forward Gennaro Tutino is set to transfer to Avellino on a loan agreement. This deal includes an option and an obligation for Avellino to purchase him if they secure promotion to Serie A. Tutino is departing Sampdoria, a move partly attributed to the club's financial difficulties. He is poised to join Avellino immediately and is anticipated to make his official debut during the Coppa Italia match. Avellino is reported to be covering about 40% of his salary, with Sampdoria paying the remaining 60%. Official confirmation of this transfer is expected shortly. Tutino's contract with Sampdoria remains valid until June 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.20 million.
