According to Tuttomercato, the future of Gabriele Zappa, a 26-year-old Italian, could be away from Cagliari. The update adds newly promoted Monza to the list of interested clubs, which previously included Torino and Sassuolo. Cagliari is reportedly not willing to sell the player for any price and has indicated that an economically interesting offer will be necessary for a transfer to happen. Zappa is a highly regarded player on the Serie A transfer market, appreciated for his versatility in playing various roles on the flanks and in a three-man defense. He joined Cagliari in July 2021. In the 2025/2026 Serie A season, he made 31 appearances and provided 3 assists. He has also been capped four times for the Italian U21 national team.
