The loan of Colombian full-back Gabriel Fuentes to Fortaleza will be extended, according to Globo.com. Fuentes was loaned to the club in February until the season's end with a purchase option. He started in 22 matches before he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in August. He will only return to action in 2027, and his loan will be extended until he recovers due to a legal requirement.

According to Globo.com, Gabriel Fuentes will return to Fluminense at the end of the year from his loan at Fortaleza. He joined Fluminense in mid-2024 and was a starter between late 2024 and early 2025, but lost his place in the team after a knee ligament injury in the Carioca final. It is expected that Fuentes will not have a place in the squad upon his return, because the club has Arana and Renê for his position.
