Swedish right back Frode Aronsson is leaving Elfsborg to join Danish club Esbjerg. The 20-year-old, who made 20 competitive appearances after progressing from the club's youth system, sought a move due to a lack of regular playing time. Elfsborg's manager Björn Hamberg stated that the player had expressed a wish to move elsewhere to play more consistently. Club chief Stefan Andreasson added that because of tough competition and limited minutes, both parties had been open to interesting alternatives during this transfer window. According to Andreasson, the transfer proceeded because Esbjerg met the financial requirements set by Elfsborg and also fulfilled Aronsson's sporting desires. Aronsson has signed a contract with Esbjerg until June 30, 2030, and his current Transfermarkt market value is €100k.
