Asteras AKTOR has announced the signing of Swedish central defender Franz Brorsson. Brorsson joins after terminating his contract with APOEL. He has signed a two-year contract and has already joined the team in the Netherlands for preseason preparations.

According to Gazzetta.gr, Franz Brorsson has terminated his contract with APOEL and is expected to move to Tripoli to join Asteras AKTOR. APOEL officially announced that they have reached a mutual agreement with Franz Brorsson to end their collaboration.

Asteras Tripolis has reached a verbal agreement with Swedish central defender Franz Brorsson. The 30-year-old has reportedly agreed to a two-year contract with the Tripoli team, with only the formalities remaining for him to secure his release from APOEL, where he was a key player last season after joining in August 2025. Brorsson, who has two caps for Sweden, has prior experience in Greece, having played for Atromitos during the 2024-25 season. His contract with the Cypriot club runs until May 2027. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is estimated to be €800k.
