Franck Surdez Transfer from Gent to Sion
At the presentation of Franck Surdez, Sion's Sportchef Barthélémy Constantin said that he has been observing the former Swiss U21 national player for a long time. Didier Tholot expressed his excitement about Surdez, describing him as a young player who can compete well and play the final pass. Surdez is not yet fully fit and will not be available for the upcoming match against Luzern.
FC Sion acquired Franck Surdez, a former U21 national player. Two years ago, Surdez moved from Xamax to Gent in Belgium. At Gent, he initially became a regular starter from July 2024, but starting in early 2025, he no longer had a significant role and spent most of the latter part of the year as a substitute.
Franck Surdez is close to joining FC Sion. According to Het Laatste Nieuws, Surdez is close to a definitive transfer and is already present at the location.
Franck Surdez is on the radar of Sion, indicating their interest in acquiring him. The club is among several teams, including FC Lugano, from Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland monitoring Surdez, who currently plays for Gent. Despite Lech Poznań's reported offer of 1.5 million euros for the 23-year-old winger, Sion's interest suggests potential competition in the transfer market. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market value at 2.00 million euros.
