Italian centre-back Francesco Acerbi, 38, will no longer be under contract with Inter from June 30, as the player and club have a long-standing agreement to separate, allowing him to choose his next team. A potential move to Saudi Arabia has become less likely after previous contacts with Simone Inzaghi at Al Hilal were not successful, and Acerbi's future may still be in Serie A. According to transfer market expert Matteo Moretto, speaking on Fabrizio Romano's YouTube channel, two Italian clubs have taken steps to sign the defender. Moretto reported that Genoa has asked for information, and that Monza is also interested, hoping his experience can be added following their promotion. The defender joined Inter in July 2023, made 18 appearances in Serie A during the 2025/2026 season, and has 34 caps for Italy, for whom he has scored one goal. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €2.00m.
