Filipe Machado Transfer from Vitória to Coritiba
Filipe Machado, who was on loan at Coritiba from Vitória until the end of the year, posted a farewell message on social media, ending negotiations for a permanent stay. Coritiba held a purchase option for the midfielder, who was a member of the squad that won the Série B title. The club had initially not shown interest in exercising this option. The club's interest was renewed following the arrival of coach Fernando Seabra. Seabra had previously worked with Machado at Cruzeiro in 2024. Vitória's president, Fábio Mota, publicly confirmed that Coritiba was interested in the player and that the two clubs were in contact. Machado has a contract with Vitória until the end of 2026. Any potential deal would have necessitated a permanent sale, a possibility to which his parent club was open. The situation concerning lateral-esquerdo Jamerson, who is on loan at Vitória from Coritiba, was a factor that could have assisted the transfer. Vitória's president, Fábio Mota, had stated that talks involving Jamerson were well advanced.
