Filip Szymczak Transfer from Lech Poznań to Sporting Charleroi
Sporting Charleroi and Lech Poznan have finalized an agreement for the loan of forward Filip Szymczak, aged 23, which includes an option to purchase. The Polish U21 international, who was developed at Lech Poznan, made his professional debut with the club. Over his career, he has participated in 120 matches for their first team, netting 12 goals and providing 11 assists. Szymczak, considered a significant talent in Poland, has joined Charleroi, who reported his arrival via their official channels as a last-minute enhancement to their squad. Charleroi, who surprised many as the revelation of the Jupiler Pro League last season and secured a spot in European competitions, are keen to sustain their competitive form this season despite a somewhat inconsistent start. The club believes Szymczak's addition will enhance the quality of their squad. His contract with Lech Poznan is due to expire in June 2027, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €1.00m. Before his transfer to Belgium, several other clubs, such as Jagiellonia Białystok, NAC Breda, and Zagłębie Lubin, were reportedly interested in the forward.
