Grêmio has officially presented Croatian midfielder Filip Krovinović. A Brazilian media source has stated that the former Hajduk Split player will have a salary of 820,000 euros per year. This amount is reportedly about 100,000 euros more than at Hajduk Split. The cooperation with coach Luís Castro at Rio Ave was a key factor in the transfer.

Sportske Novosti reports that Filip Krovinović has been signed by Grêmio. It is noted that the club has never before signed a Croatian player. Krovinović is expected to help the team, which is currently struggling and close to the relegation zone. The transfer is described as surprising but consistent with Grêmio's recently adopted strategy of exploring less-followed markets due to limited financial resources.

According to his agent, Marjan Šišić, Filip Krovinović's wish was to move to Brazil despite there being five to six good options in Europe. A key factor was his connection with Grêmio coach Luis Castro, who previously coached Krovinović at Rio Ave and remembered him as his most important player. There was a mutual desire for cooperation between Krovinović and Castro. The agent described the split with Hajduk as mutual and correct. Šišić noted that the new sporting director, Robert Graf, clarified the situation and suggested a mutual contract termination, which was accepted. The financial terms of the project were described as very satisfactory for Krovinović.

Index.hr reports that Filip Krovinović's transfer to Grêmio has been confirmed by the Brazilian club. Grêmio coach Luís Castro contacted the player. Castro previously coached Krovinović at Rio Ave. According to information from Brazil, Krovinović agreed to a salary of 400,000 Brazilian reais per month, approximately 68,600 euros, or around 820,000 euros annually. Krovinović signed a contract with Grêmio until the end of 2028.
