While Genoa and Venezia had previously investigated signing him, Saudi Arabia is now considered his probable destination. Al Shabab has taken significant steps to sign the attacker and has proposed a two-year contract valued at 10 million euros net per season. El Shaarawy, who has 32 caps and 7 goals for Italy, would prefer a three-year deal, and discussions between the parties about the contract's duration are ongoing. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €2.40m.
