The player is being linked with several Serie A clubs, including Fiorentina, as he desires to return to the top flight. There is also reported interest from Cagliari, Bologna, and Sassuolo, with the latter two potentially pursuing a last-minute deal. A return to his former club Lecce has also been mentioned as a possibility for the defender. Baschirotto is fully recovered from a significant rectus femoris injury that required surgery but is being kept out of the squad for market-related reasons, despite having been fit to play for several weeks.
