Stuttgart is said to be showing particularly strong interest. A potential transfer fee of between €15 and €20 million has also been mentioned. This figure is considered unrealistic for a player who is currently a substitute and has an estimated market value of €5 million. West Ham United, Napoli, and Fiorentina have also been named in connection with Leysen. The defender, who has lost his starting place at Union SG, has three years remaining on his contract. This season in the Jupiler Pro League, Leysen has made 23 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist. The former Belgium U21 international, for whom he has two caps, joined Union Saint-Gilloise on a free transfer in July 2023. In August 2025, Union SG reportedly demanded over €10 million for the player from Bologna.
