Faris Moumbagna Transfer from Olympique Marseille to Cremonese
Faris Moumbagna is set to join US Cremonese on a loan with an option to buy. The transfer is reported by journalist Gianluca Di Marzio and Foot Mercato. Moumbagna, who has not been used since suffering a serious knee injury on August 17, 2024, is expected in Italy by Monday evening.
Cremonese is engaged in negotiations with Marseille concerning the transfer of Faris Moumbagna, a forward from Cameroon born in 2000. Should the talks prove successful, Moumbagna might travel to Italy as early as tomorrow to undergo medical examinations. He joined Marseille last summer but was unable to play for the entire season due to a cruciate ligament injury, managing only 8 minutes on the field for the French club. Although he returned to the bench on April 6, he did not participate in any of the remaining matches of the French championship. With a potential move to Cremonese, Moumbagna could find a chance to rejuvenate his career, provided he passes the medical tests. The forward's contract with Marseille is valid until June 2028, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value at €5.00m. Besides Cremonese, French club Toulouse and Spanish team Levante have also shown interest in the player.
