The Scottish champs are competing with RB Salzburg for Fares Ghedjemis, a 23-year-old French-Algerian wide player from Serie B club Frosinone valued at £6.5m. Celtic manager Martin O’Neill confirmed the club's interest and stated that they are looking to acquire two new wingers. O’Neill acknowledged that negotiations are ongoing ahead of Monday's deadline and that while progress is being made, the club might only sign one of their targets. Dunajská Streda's Damir Redzic is also an option. Ghedjemis has made 21 appearances in Serie B this season, scoring 8 goals and providing 2 assists. He joined Frosinone in January 2024 from Rouen for a fee that was reported to be €300,000, and his current contract runs until June 2026. Transfermarkt lists his current market value as €1.50m.
