Fábio Silva leaving Borussia Dortmund?
Borussia Dortmund's Fábio Silva is seeking a transfer. At present, Silva will not be given permission for a move in the winter, a position publicly emphasized by sporting director Sebastian Kehl. According to 'Sky', talks with Silva's agent Carlos Oliveira are nevertheless planned soon. Oliveira wants to know what Dortmund's plan is for Silva. The Andalusian sports daily reports that progress has been made in discussions with the striker's side and with BVB. Betis wants to loan the 23-year-old from January to the summer. According to 'ED', Betis is offering to take over large parts of his salary, and potentially the entire half-year salary. A purchase option is explicitly not a subject of the negotiations. So far, Borussia is resisting a winter move. 'Sport Bild' reported in its last print edition that a departure in winter has been blocked and that a transfer is considered to be completely excluded. Silva wants to maintain his chances of participating in the World Cup with Portugal. Silva joined Dortmund in August 2025 and has a contract until 2030. He has provided two assists in seven Bundesliga appearances this season. The forward has 28 caps and 15 goals for Portugal's U21 side. According to Transfermarkt, he has a market value of €28.00m.
