Fabian Holland, whose contract at Darmstadt 98 will not be extended at the end of the season, stated that he does not want to end his career and is ready for a new adventure, but his destination is still completely open. Holland said that he still feels too fit, is far too ambitious and notices that his body is not sending him any signals yet, and that it would therefore make no sense for him to say that was it. Holland also said that he is not aiming to get every last bit financially but still wants to play football as ambitiously as possible. Holland would have welcomed another season at Darmstadt 98, but the club management informed him early of their decision not to extend his contract. Holland said that he would have liked to extend for another year, so there is a bit of disappointment, but that he also understands given the facts that he has not played as much this season and will turn 36 in July. He added that the way it was communicated to him was absolutely fine. The German Left-Back joined Darmstadt in July 2015 and has one cap for the Germany U20 team. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €200k.
