Argentinian Right-Back Eros Mancuso, 27, was signed by Fortaleza in 2024 after playing for Estudiantes, in a deal valued at approximately US$ 1.6 million. At the beginning of the current year, he returned to the Argentine club on a loan agreement that is valid until the end of 2026. This transfer resulted in a debt owed by Fortaleza to Estudiantes, which led to a transfer ban imposed by FIFA on the Brazilian club. Fortaleza is prohibited from registering new players until the financial issue is resolved, and the club is working to reach an agreement with Estudiantes. Mancuso's contract with Fortaleza is set to expire in August 2028. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €3.00m. In the 2025/2026 season, he has made 15 domestic league appearances.
