Tomáš Janotka, the coach of Sigma Olomouc, confirmed the club is interested in signing 20-year-old attacking midfielder Ermin Mahmič and his two teammates from Slovan Liberec, Vojtěch Stránský and Lukáš Mašek. Janotka also noted their quality and potential. He acknowledged that a meeting between the management of the two clubs had taken place for preliminary discussions. Ondřej Kania, the owner of Slovan Liberec, wrote on his Instagram account that the players have potential for major European leagues. Kania also stated he would be open to negotiating their sale to Olomouc only if Olomouc were to play in the Bundesliga or LaLiga. He added that until that condition is met, the players would not be sold, even for a billion. Ermin Mahmič is an Austria U21 international and has a contract until June 2029. According to Transfermarkt, his market value is €350k. In the 2025/2026 Chance Liga season, Mahmič has scored 2 goals and provided 4 assists in 5 appearances.
