A statement from FK Corum announced that the club has reached an agreement for the permanent transfer of Ermin Mahmić, a Bosnian national midfielder born in 2005 from FC Slovan Liberec. The club also stated that a 3+1 year contract has been signed with the footballer. The statement also highlighted Mahmic's impressive performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The Bosnian international was on Celtic's radar before their Champions League qualifier against LASK, and no official bid was made.

Ermin Mahmič is leaving Liberec for the Turkish club Arca Corum, which is a newcomer. According to inFotbal.cz, Slovan should earn about five million euros from the transfer, with additional bonuses and a percentage from a future resale. In an official announcement, Liberec stated that the terms of his transfer to Turkey were agreed upon within two days after a complicated and unclear transfer period. The club thanked Ermin Mahmič for his services and wished him luck. He leaves after one season.

Ermin Mahmić, a 21-year-old attacking midfielder from Bosnia-Herzegovina, is joining the newly-promoted Turkish club Çorum from Slovan Liberec on a four-year contract. The agreement includes a transfer fee for Liberec that could reach 5 million euros, in addition to bonuses and a resale percentage. Reports in August 2026 claimed the deal was for a base fee of €4-5 million plus €1 million in bonuses. Before finalizing this move, the player had received interest from several other clubs. PAOK was in discussions to sign him, but the negotiations were unsuccessful. Celtic, Salzburg, Basel, and Toulouse were also reportedly among the interested clubs, but the player rejected them. Mahmić, who joined Slovan Liberec in July 2025, has 5 caps and 2 goals for Bosnia-Herzegovina. In August 2026, Slovan Liberec's asking price was reported to be €7-8 million, and they reportedly rejected offers of €4-5 million from both Salzburg and Basel. His current Transfermarkt valuation is €7.00m.
