Amedspor sporting director Serkan Recber has taken action to sign Hammarby right-back Hampus Skoglund, aiming to sign the player ahead of Rangers. It is understood that Recber closely tracked Skoglund’s development during his time at Besiktas and is now keen to bring the defender to Turkey. According to Turkish daily Gazete Vatan, Recber has joined the competition to sign Skoglund.

Aftonbladet reports that foreign clubs are interested in Hampus Skoglund, and adds that Mikael Hjelmberg requires around 50 million kronor for the player's departure.

Wrexham have identified Hammarby’s 21-year-old Swedish right-back, Hampus Skoglund, as a potential January transfer target. Wrexham are one of several clubs pursuing a potential January transfer deal for Skoglund, and FSV Mainz 05, Girona, and Parma have also been recently linked. The strength of Wrexham's interest in the player is not yet clear, but he is on Parkinson's shortlist. Skoglund, who has 12 caps and one goal for the Sweden U21 team, is under contract with Hammarby until the end of 2029. According to reports in January 2026, a potential deal with Wrexham was valued at approximately €3.1 million; this followed reports from November 2025 that stated Hammarby's valuation was around €3-4 million. The player's current valuation on Transfermarkt is €2.20m.
