Heracles Almelo has signed Erik Ahlstrand on loan from St. Pauli for the remainder of the season, and the agreement contains an option for a permanent transfer. Ahlstrand moved to St. Pauli from Halmstad in early 2024 for a €650,000 fee, making eight appearances and scoring three goals for the reserves. Ernest Faber, Heracles' technical director and trainer, stated that they consider the one-cap Sweden international to be a versatile player for all midfield positions and as a striker.
