Red Star has officially announced that 20-year-old central defender Elyaz Zidane has joined the club. Zidane is the son of Zinédine Zidane and holds both French and Spanish citizenship. A French youth international who won the U17 European Championship in 2022, Zidane was trained at CD Canillas and was at the Real Madrid academy for over a decade before joining Real Betis in 2024. He has joined the squad at Saint-Ouen to strengthen it. Zidane has 17 caps and one goal for the France U20 team and made 37 appearances across all competitions for Betis's lower league sides in the 2025/2026 season. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €200k.
