28-year-old Kosovo-German central midfielder Elvis Rexhbecaj will depart from FC Augsburg on a free transfer in the summer after a four-year tenure with the club. Both Borussia Mönchengladbach and Werder Bremen have identified the 16-time Kosovo international (2 goals) as a potential signing. Borussia Mönchengladbach had already made contact with Rexhbecaj during the winter to prepare for a potential early departure of Rocco Reitz. With Reitz now set to leave the Foals in the summer, acquiring Rexhbecaj for the upcoming season is a possibility. The midfielder has made 24 Bundesliga appearances this season, scoring two goals, and has a current market value of €3.50m, according to Transfermarkt.
