Hannover 96 is the leading candidate to sign Tunisian international Elias Saad from FC Augsburg, from where his departure is considered increasingly likely. It is reported that Jörg Schmadtke wants to bring the 26-year-old left winger to Niedersachsen on a loan deal. Hertha BSC is also interested in Saad. Since joining Augsburg from FC St. Pauli in the summer, Saad has mostly been used as a substitute, making 10 appearances and providing one assist in the Bundesliga. He holds a contract with the club until 2029. His current market value is €4.00m, according to Transfermarkt. He moved to Augsburg for a fee of €2.0 million in July 2025.
