Wieczysta Kraków has signed 30-year-old Greek striker Efthymios Koulouris, who became available after deciding not to extend his contract with Al-Ula in order to return to Poland. Pogoń Szczecin, Jagiellonia Białystok, Korona Kielce, and Widzew were also competing to sign the player, in a situation that Mateusz Borek of Kanał Sportowy described as involving unbelievable fights where clubs outbid each other. Koulouris reportedly rejected more lucrative offers from the Persian Gulf, and he is expected to earn approximately one million euros at the Kraków-based club. Koulouris has 18 caps for the Greek national team. His current market value is €2.80m, according to Transfermarkt.
