Timur Gurtskaya stated that there is concrete interest from Saudi Arabia in Eduard Spertsyan. Gurtskaya said that FC Krasnodar is not opposed to the player discussing his personal terms, adding that Krasnodar has apparently accepted the offer from Al-Ahli.

Al-Ahli is prepared to offer Krasnodar a minimum of €25 million for 25-year-old Armenian attacking midfielder Eduard Spertsyan. The two clubs have not yet started negotiations, and as a result, Spertsyan has not made a final decision regarding his future or agreed to join the Saudi club. Previously, media rumors suggested that Spertsyan had already consented to the transfer and that Al-Ahli was ready to pay him a salary of €10 million per year. Spertsyan, who is under contract at Krasnodar until 2029, scored 13 goals and provided 17 assists in 30 league games in the 2025/2026 season. Other clubs, including Olympique Marseille and Southampton, have also been linked with the player, who has 40 caps for Armenia.
