Edin Džeko Transfer from Fiorentina to Genoa
According to Tuttomercato, Genoa has approached Edin Dzeko to sign him from Fiorentina. Contacts are ongoing to convince Dzeko to accept the move and to reach an economic agreement. The report adds that Dzeko's salary at Fiorentina is slightly less than 2 million euros net per season. His contract with the club is valid until June 30 and includes an automatic renewal based on appearances, a condition he is unlikely to meet.
Genoa has shown interest in Edin Dzeko, a 39-year-old striker at Fiorentina. Dzeko is a Bosnia-Herzegovina international with 146 caps for his country, and he joined Fiorentina from Fenerbahçe at the start of the season. His current club is reportedly preparing for a significant squad change during the mid-season transfer window and, amidst the team's league struggles, views the striker as a potential departure. Genoa, which is managed by Daniele De Rossi, wants to utilize Dzeko's experience for the remainder of the season. It is suggested that the good relationship between the player and the coach could be an important factor in a potential move. Dzeko has not scored in 11 Serie A appearances this season. His contract is valid until June 2026, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €1.60m.
