Dominik Ťapaj, a 21-year-old Slovakian goalkeeper and member of the Slovakia U21 national team, has transferred from MFK Ružomberok to FC Viktoria Plzeň. His new club is currently fourth in the Czech top division. Ťapaj developed at Ružomberok, played in all 18 league matches for the club this season, and will join his new team immediately for a training camp in Benidorm, Spain. MFK Ružomberok's general director, Ľubomír Golis, stated that the deal happened very quickly over a few days and was for a very decent fee. He added that it was a result of their club's good goalkeeping school. Speaking to the official Viktoria Plzeň website, Ťapaj said the transfer meant a lot to him. He described Viktoria as a huge club and a big step up, and added that his first feelings were great. The player has three caps for the Slovakia U21 team. According to Transfermarkt, he has a current market value of €400k.
