Dominik Livaković: Fenerbahçe Contract Extension

According to Sportske Novosti, Fenerbahce is increasing its asking price for Dominik Livaković.

According to a report from Index.hr, Dominik Livaković is not on the squad list for the match against Mallorca, as he is resolving his future during the winter transfer window and is absent from Girona's squad with the club's permission. The report states it is expected that Livaković will return to Fenerbahce, but adds that the club signed Brazilian goalkeeper Ederson from Manchester City last summer, making it likely that Livaković will be sent on a new loan or sold.

According to Girona coach Michel Sanchez, Dominik Livaković is absent from Girona with the club's permission in order to resolve his future during the winter transfer window. It is expected that Livaković will return to Turkish club Fenerbahçe during the winter transfer window. Livaković has a contract with Girona until the summer, but he wants to leave because coach Michel prefers 33-year-old Paulo Gazzaniga as first-choice goalkeeper. Livaković is seeking a new club to play and be ready for the World Cup in six months.

A report from the Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo stated that Dominik Livaković did not participate in Girona's open training session, which the report indicated could be a sign that he has left the club. The 30-year-old is expected to return to Fenerbahçe during the winter transfer window. He has not made a single appearance for Girona since joining on loan in the summer.

Germanijak reports that the Turks want Livaković to accept the most lucrative offer for Fenerbahce, but the Croatian goalkeeper has confirmed that he only wants to return to Maksimir.

According to George Tsarocuhas, a Greek insider and journalist for Metrosport, Panathinaikos has added Dominik Livaković to its list of goalkeepers for January. The report states the Croatian goalkeeper will soon terminate his loan at Girona and return to Fenerbahçe. The Croatian national team goalkeeper decided to leave Spain after not receiving opportunities to play. Livaković was supposed to be on loan at Girona from Fenerbahçe until the end of the season. He did not play for the Spanish club and during that period was only the goalkeeper for Croatia in three World Cup qualification matches. He wants to terminate the loan now to join a club where he will play, as it is crucial for Livaković to remain Croatia's primary goalkeeper for the World Cup next summer. He has a contract with Fenerbahçe until summer 2028.

Despite previous uncertainties about his form, the new coach Jose Mourinho has expressed his strong desire to keep Livaković. Mourinho reportedly had a private meeting with Livaković where he reassured him by saying, 'I want you, I won't ask for funds for a new goalkeeper.' Mourinho even sought advice from Luka Modrić about Livaković's form and confidence.

Dominik Livaković started as the goalkeeper for Fenerbahçe in a friendly match.

Dominik Livaković is returning to Fenerbahçe for the upcoming season after his vacation post-Euro. He will undergo a mandatory medical examination in Istanbul before joining the team's training camp in Bad Waltersdorf, Austria. Despite rumors in Turkish media, Livaković remains with Fenerbahçe, with whom he has a contract until 2028.
