The club had reportedly paid the release clauses for Frelek and another player, Maciej Wolski, but encountered problems when offering them contracts. Szymon Janczyk's report stated that these complications led Frelek and Wolski to withdraw from their respective transfers. The issues are part of broader organizational problems at the club, which FootballScout claims have prompted sporting director Tomasz Stefankiewicz to decide to leave. Despite the current standstill, there is a belief within Polonia Bytom's offices that the transfers can still be completed. Frelek joined Olimpia Grudziądz in July 2024 and his contract is valid until June 30, 2028.
