Spezia may offer Italian goalkeeper Diego Mascardi to Cagliari to resolve an impasse over the appointment of Guido Angelozzi as their new sporting director, as he is still under contract with the Sardinian club. According to La Nazione, Spezia could propose two players to accelerate Angelozzi's release, with the names mentioned being Mascardi and left-sided player Giuseppe Aurelio. Mascardi was born in 2006, has two caps for the Italian Under-21 national team, played 18 matches for Spezia last season, and is valued at €1.5 million. He joined Spezia's first team in July 2024 and his contract runs until 2028. Juventus and Torino have also been linked with the player.
