According to Tom Bogert, Diego Luna had offers from a Spanish club in the summer, but all parties decided he would stay at Real Salt Lake for the rest of the 2026 season. A move to Europe in the winter is considered more likely, with the same club still pushing for the transfer. However, Luna's injury and recovery timeline will be a factor.

Sources have told GOAL that Real Salt Lake plans to keep Diego Luna through the summer despite reported interest from Spain. The sources added that RSL has yet to receive any formal offers for the midfielder.

Diego Luna, a standout performer in the Copa Oro, has expressed his desire to play in Liga MX, specifically for Club América. He stated in an interview with TUDN, "For me and my family, it would be good and a great challenge to play for América." His dual nationality and offensive playing style make him an attractive profile for the América management, fueling rumors of a possible transfer to Coapa after the summer. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market worth at 8.00 million euros.
