During the winter, Panetolikos made an official offer to loan 26-year-old Romanian winger Dennis Politic with an option for a permanent transfer, but the proposal was rejected by FCSB. The club's owner, Gigi Becali, was not interested in a temporary deal and requested one million euros for a permanent move, which was significantly more than the Greek club could afford. Becali's stance has since changed, and he is now reportedly willing to let the player leave for free. Speaking on the show Fotbal Club, he described the signing as the most significant negative experience he has had in football. Consequently, if Panetolikos' interest remains, Dennis Politic could now move to Greece without a transfer fee. Politic, who has been capped once by Romania, joined FCSB in July 2025 and has a contract until June 2029. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €650k. Dinamo Bucureşti has also been linked with the player.
