Deniz Dönmezer Transfer from Kayserispor to Hull City

6h ago

Hull City are the primary club pursuing the signing of 18-year-old Turkish Kayserispor goalkeeper Deniz Dönmezer, whose development has attracted attention from major European teams. According to sources, Hull City is actively trying to secure an agreement for a transfer in the January window. Talks are understood to have begun in July. The proposed deal includes a contract for four and a half years with an option for an additional year, a transfer fee of £1.5 million, and a 10 per cent sell-on clause for Kayserispor. Before Hull City's approach, while Dönmezer was at Adana Demirspor, several other clubs were reportedly interested, including Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş, and Trabzonspor. Among foreign clubs, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City, and Tottenham were said to have sent scouts. Ajax considered a bid, and Liverpool was also linked with the player. A potential arrangement could involve Dönmezer staying at Kayserispor until the end of the season for appearance-related bonuses to be triggered. However, no agreement has been finalized, and discussions are ongoing. Dönmezer joined Kayserispor on September 12, 2025, and his contract is set to expire on June 30, 2028. The goalkeeper has four caps for the Türkiye U19 team. His current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €1.00m.
