Central defender Denis Vavro is set to join the Czech top club Viktoria Plzeň. The 30-year-old is a 33-time Slovakian international and has scored two goals for his country. He has already completed his medical examination. Vavro, who joined Wolfsburg in July 2025, had not been involved with the club for several weeks. The Bundesliga relegated club had removed him from the squad and also suspended him from training. The German club will receive a small transfer fee for the right-footed player, whose contract was due to end in one year. According to Transfermarkt, his current market value is €5.00m.
