Denis Makarov leaving Dinamo Moskva?

In an interview with Oleg Lysenko from 'Championat', Denis Makarov stated that a transfer from Dynamo Moscow to a Chinese club did not proceed. Makarov said the club had a strong interest in him and that he communicated with the sporting director, with the discussions proceeding well. He then explained that the club hired a coach who was not interested in him and said he could not take a Russian player. Makarov added that he does not know the reasons for this and that the coach simply said they could not take him. He also mentioned that they did not ask questions and thanked each other for the communication. Makarov revealed that during the first days of January, he had communicated frequently with the Chinese club through video and calls for a couple of days while he was in Sochi with his family.

Denis Makarov's representative, Aleksey Babyr, told 'Championat' that they are looking for a team and are in dialogue. Babyr said they will consider a good concrete offer and also stated they were actively communicating with a Chinese club.

Russian winger Denis Makarov, 27, stated he is ready to leave the club due to interim head coach Rolan Gusev. Makarov said that he had made the decision for himself that with the coaching staff led by Gusev, he wants to leave Dynamo and wants to talk to the club to be released. When asked if he would consider staying if Gusev is not part of the coaching staff starting from the winter training camp, Makarov replied that it is possible. Makarov, who joined Dynamo Moscow in August 2021, has a contract that runs until June 2026 and has scored 3 goals in 8 appearances in the Premier Liga this season. His current market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €2.00m.
