Denis Alibec Transfer from FCSB to Botoşani
According to Sport.ro, FCSB owner Gigi Becali announced he is willing to sell Denis Alibec if he receives 200,000 euros for the forward. FC Botoșani was willing at one point to acquire Denis Alibec, but the transfer did not happen. Valeriu Iftime, the owner of FC Botoșani, stated that he is no longer interested in this matter and would not pay the amount requested by Becali. Iftime mentioned that they had a discussion and were waiting for Denis, but in the meantime, they have repositioned themselves.
Sport.ro reported that FC Botoșani was interested in Denis Alibec this winter, and Valeriu Iftime had a personal discussion with the striker. However, Alibec chose to stay at FCSB to compete for his position with Daniel Bîrligea.
Valeriu Iftime stated he would like Denis Alibec to join FC Botosani and said the transfer would have been an excellent opportunity for the team coached by Leo Grozavu. Valeriu Iftime acknowledged that he has not taken specific actions regarding Denis Alibec and emphasized that nothing has been finalized. He also mentioned that he has not spoken with Mr. Becali and must first learn if Denis Alibec wants to come to FC Botosani. Iftime expressed doubt that this transfer could happen, adding that Denis Alibec is not at the end of his contract.
FC Botoșani owner, Valeriu Iftime, would like to bring a striker for Leo Grozavu during the winter transfer window, with Denis Alibec from FCSB being one of the options. The businessman is ready to offer Alibec a six-month contract and the opportunity to compete for the title with the Moldovan team. According to Digi Sport, Iftime said he would like to see if Alibec would agree to six months at Botoșani, stating he would help him recover his form instantly. The owner believes the player would become the best footballer in Romania if he came to them, but noted that everything depends on the player. Iftime concluded that if Alibec wanted to come to Botoșani, he would be number one, and the deal could be a loan or whatever the player wants.
There are rumors that 34-year-old centre-forward Denis Alibec could leave FCSB after six months because he is not getting enough playing time. When FC Botoșani owner Valeriu Iftime was directly asked about the possibility of signing the Romanian international, he categorically refused. Iftime stated that the issue was not about money but about the player's attitude and condition. According to Fanatik.ro, the owner explained that his club needs hungry players who want to grow, not someone who has already been great and wants to become so again, adding that a good team atmosphere is essential. The forward has 45 caps and 6 goals for Romania and has made 7 appearances in the SuperLiga this season without scoring a goal or providing an assist. His contract is due to expire in June 2026, and Transfermarkt estimates his market value to be €600k.
