Polish centre-forward Dawid Kownacki is a free agent after his contract with Werder Bremen was mutually terminated at the end of September. This move's timing was considered surprising because it happened after most transfer windows had closed. His future plans are not known, and he has not approached Lech Poznań regarding training. Lech Poznań, however, does not completely rule out the possibility of signing him. At a special meeting with season ticket holders, Piotr Rutkowski reportedly suggested that Lech Poznań still values the 29-year-old and considers him a good player. The club reportedly has doubts about its needs in January and whether expanding the squad in that position is necessary. The matter is not considered definitively closed, which is different from the case of Linetty. Kownacki has 7 caps and 1 goal for Poland, and his current market value, according to Transfermarkt, is €1.50m. FC Köln, Wieczysta Kraków, and Korona Kielce are other clubs that have recently been linked with him.
