David Watson Transfer from Kilmarnock to Rangers

David Watson has been identified as Rangers’ top target for the January window. Rangers are attempting to reach an agreement to bring him to Ibrox and he could become their first signing of the January transfer window.

Watson's contract expires in the summer, and it is increasingly likely he will be on the move, potentially as early as January. According to reports, he is a January target for Rangers.

TEAMtalk sources state that Watson is interested in a move to Ibrox, which he considers a career-defining step. Rangers, under their new manager Danny Rohl, are pursuing him. Rangers view him as a homegrown midfield solution, especially after his composed performances against both Old Firm sides.

Rangers are interested in a pre-contract move for Kilmarnock star David Watson, a 20-year-old Scottish midfielder whose contract is set to expire at the end of the season, a situation which has put a number of clubs on alert. TEAMtalk sources close to the club indicate that Rangers have monitored the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year for over a year and have been impressed with his ability to perform in high-stakes matches. Furthermore, TEAMtalk sources suggest that Watson would be very keen on a switch to Ibrox. However, TEAMtalk understands that the competition for the midfielder is fierce, with a potential move to England also being a possibility as English Championship clubs and continental scouts have been spotted at Rugby Park. In response, Kilmarnock are in urgent talks to try and tie the player down to a longer deal. According to Transfermarkt, the player has a current market value of €1.50m.
