David Soria Transfer from Getafe to Nottingham Forest
According to AS, Nottingham Forest have a renewed determination to sign David Soria. The club wanted to sign the goalkeeper last summer and are now determined to sign him in the winter transfer window or at the end of the season. Soria's contract with Getafe finishes at the end of the season, at which point he will become a free agent. If he leaves Getafe in June, the club would not receive any money, so a transfer in January would generate income. A January transfer would also free up salary cap space, which is needed to register Chimy Ávila and Dani Rodríguez per LaLiga requirements.
Spanish goalkeeper David Soria, aged 32, has emerged as a target for Nottingham Forest. Although his release clause is set at 14 million, the transfer has not advanced thus far. Despite Soria being a priority for Nottingham Forest, negotiations have reached an impasse, with Getafe actively seeking solutions due to financial constraints. The club's attempts to manage their salary cap have yet to facilitate Soria's transfer, leaving both the player and several of his teammates uncertain about their futures. Getafe is examining all potential options to address these challenges before the transfer window deadline. Soria's contract extends until 2026, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €3.00 million.
