David Kiki leaving FCSB?

Gigi Becali stated that David Kiki will leave FCSB in the winter.

Gigi Becali was not satisfied with David Kiki's performance at FCSB. Becali had stated he could not release Kiki because he has a contract and would not put him on the transfer list. The owner added that Kiki was playing in the World Cup qualifiers, he could get 600,000 for him, and if Benin qualified, the player would stay. The situation changed after Benin failed to qualify for the World Cup, not reaching the playoffs. For this reason, David Kiki is now closer to leaving FCSB.

Gigi Becali stated that he can hardly wait for winter to come to take a player out of the squad. Becali said he is waiting for winter to come to get rid of the player, adding that you cannot play with him. He also stated that they will give the man his money and get rid of him.

Gigi Becali stated that he is waiting for winter to terminate the contracts of several players and mentioned David Kiki as the first on his list. David Kiki's agent, Mihai Joița, stated that no one from FCSB has contacted him regarding a contract termination and repeated that there is no discussion about termination. Mihai Joița also stated that the club that will have Kiki under contract in the summer of 2026 will receive one million euros from FIFA for the entire period the player is with the national team at the World Cup. Gigi Becali stated that they will pay Kiki his money and release him, adding that there are three players who no longer have a place in the team, but he only named Kiki.

Gigi Becali announced that David Kiki will be removed from the LPF and UEFA lists starting in the winter. Gigi Becali stated he is willing to offer money to the left-back from Benin for contract termination. Speaking on Prima Sport, he said he cannot wait for winter to remove the player from the squad and will give him his money, questioning the significance of the player having a contract.

David Kiki is reportedly unhappy with the limited playing time at FCSB and is considering a transfer. He played only eight matches this season and had an injury at the beginning of the season. Despite signing with high expectations after a successful season with Farul, his experience at FCSB has been disappointing. His contract with FCSB expires in 2027, which might complicate any potential transfer. Currently, Transfermarkt estimates his market value at 500k euros.
