Pete O’Rourke reports that David Harrington will be allowed to go on loan before the transfer window closes if Bolton signs Southampton’s Gavin Bazunu.

David Harrington has yet to make a first-team appearance for Bolton Wanderers and could be sent out on loan before the close of the window. The main reason mentioned is that Wanderers appear interested in signing a goalkeeper in the final few days of the window, having previously been linked with Kayne van Oevelen and Asmir Begovic, as well as Arthur Okonkwo, who has since joined Charlton Athletic.

Bolton Wanderers are prepared to send out either 26-year-old Welsh and Irish goalkeeper David Harrington, Nathan Broome or Luke Hutchinson if another goalkeeper arrives. David Harrington joined from Fleetwood Town in the winter and has not yet played. If Bolton Wanderers sign Asmir Begovic or another player of his calibre, they could send two of them away. It would be beneficial for Harrington to get regular game time elsewhere in the Football League or in Scotland. His contract runs until June 2028, and his market value is €150k, according to Transfermarkt.
