David Bates has joined Amedspor in Turkey. The 29-year-old centre-back moved from Standard Liege after serving two years of a three-year contract he signed in 2024. Amedspor, who were promoted and are set to play in the Super Lig for the first time, have signed the Scotland international on a two-year deal that includes an option for a third year. On social media, Amedspor announced that their club has signed centre-back David Bates to a 2+1 year contract to strengthen the defensive line in line with squad planning for the 2026–2027 season.
