Dario Vizinger Transfer from Mura to Maribor
Dario Vizinger has transferred to Maribor and signed a contract with the club until 2028. Cem Basgul, who is responsible for staffing in Maribor, expressed satisfaction with the acquisition. Vizinger stated that he is very happy that it is completed and that he is finally in Maribor, although the transfer took a little longer. Vizinger also commented that he will join the team for training on Tuesday and expressed positive first impressions.
Dario Vizinger is set to join Maribor from Mura, with an agreement between the clubs already reached and only the contract signing remaining. The 27-year-old Croatian forward's departure from Mura was expected, following a strong half-season where he was the team's leading scorer with his contract due to expire in a few months. Mura, a club described as being in need of funds, will earn a fee that could reach up to €150,000 including bonuses. Maribor opted to invest in the domestic market to reinforce their attack, which was seen as too dependent on Benjamin Tetteh. The player was an explicit request from coach Feđa Dudić, who had publicly expressed his interest weeks earlier. It is reported that the player is ready for a step forward in his career. Vizinger has a current Transfermarkt market value of €500k, has scored 4 goals with 2 assists in 8 Prva Liga appearances this season, and has been capped 6 times for the Croatia U21 team, scoring 2 goals.
