Jonathan Vidalle, Arsenal's chief South America scout, has revealed he is a big fan of Midtjylland's 21-year-old Chilean international winger Dario Osorio, who has been playing in Denmark since summer 2023. In an interview with ADN Deportes, Vidalle stated that he sees similarities between Osorio and a young Angel di Maria, describing him as an intelligent winger skilled in one-on-one situations with a good finish after cutting inside. The scout also mentioned that he felt Osorio was not previously ready for a bigger leap. Vidalle believes the player made the correct decision to move to a smaller European league from his formative club, Universidad de Chile, explaining that a direct move to a club like Arsenal would have been too large a step. Vidalle is monitoring Osorio and believes that if he continues to perform well in Denmark, he is bound to secure a significant transfer, with his path potentially leading to Arsenal in the future. Osorio's contract with the Danish club runs until June 2028, and his market value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be €8 million. Other clubs, including AFC Bournemouth and Benfica, have also been linked with the player.
