Globo.com reports that recent inquiries from Atalanta for Danilo did not progress.

According to Globo, Atalanta is interested in Danilo and Botafogo is prepared to sell him for €30 million. Botafogo had previously intended to sell Danilo for approximately €40 million after the 2026 World Cup, but is now prepared to reduce the price because he played only 43 minutes at the tournament. Botafogo's priority is to sell the 25-year-old midfielder to a European club, while the player's entourage suggests a transfer within Brazil is more probable.

Palmeiras and Flamengo are also interested in the player, whose priority is a return to European football. Danilo has two caps for Brazil, is under contract with Botafogo until June 2029, and has a market value of €32.00m according to Transfermarkt. According to recent reports from May 2026, Botafogo's asking price is around €40 million. Zenit reportedly made offers in April 2026 valued between €25 million and €30 million.
