However, the move to Hajduk did not happen as Kalinić's transfer failed due to work permit issues, leading Zagorac to remain at Dinamo Zagreb. Zagorac expressed his desire to return to RNK Split, the club where he spent 21 years and began his football career after leaving taekwondo due to financial limitations. Despite Hajduk's interest, Zagorac chose to stay at Dinamo, where he played an important role as a mentor and motivator for younger players, even though he wasn't registered for the European League and had one of the lowest contracts in the team.
